Kai Trump can count on plenty of well-known backers when she makes her professional golf debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is related to Donald Trump, obtained a special exemption to participate at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, owns multiple international courses and regularly competes against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
Kai explained that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa basically suggested to play and enjoy myself," she explained.
"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, making him quite busy."
Being non-professional, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions in 2024 and has ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
However she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He stands as the greatest golfer in the world," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a superior person. He told me to compete, have fun, following the flow."
She'll challenge multiple most prominent players in professional golf at this tournament, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that her participation exposes golf to different demographics, especially with youth audiences.
The social media influencer has millions of followers and recently launched her own clothing and lifestyle label.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
