Nearly Ninety Flights Associated to Jeffrey Epstein Allegedly Came to or from UK Airports
Analysis has found that nearly 90 aircraft journeys linked to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein allegedly touched down at and left UK airports, with some allegedly transporting women from the UK who assert they were victimized by the found guilty child sex offender.
Flight Logs Uncover Trail of Movement
The travel manifests were among thousands of legal papers and files made public by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been made public over the last year. The review found 87 aircraft movements linked to Epstein – featuring many that were not previously known – landing or taking off from British airfields between the early 1990s and 2018.
Passenger Details and Post-Conviction Travel
Unidentified female passengers were recorded among the travelers travelling into and out of the UK. Notably, 15 of these flights involving the UK happened following Epstein’s 2008 guilty verdict for soliciting sex from a child.
“It was ‘shocking’ that there had never been a ‘thorough probe in the UK’ into his operations in the country,” stated American attorneys representing numerous Epstein survivors.
British Victims and Legal Proceedings
Evidence from one of the UK-based survivors was instrumental in convicting Epstein’s accomplice socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. Yet, that survivor has never been contacted by UK authorities, as stated by her Florida-based lawyer.
In a response, the London's Metropolitan Police stated they had “not received any additional evidence that would support reopening the probe.” They added, “If new and relevant evidence be brought to our attention, including any arising from the release of documents in the US, we will assess it.”
Continuing Disclosure and Judicial Decisions
A bill to make public every document held by the US government in regarding Epstein passed the House and Senate last month. The US justice department has until 19 December to comply. A vast number of files are anticipated to be released.
Separately, a US judge ruled last week that the DOJ could publicly release case files from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s long-term associate, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence over the allegations.
