Eulogies Pour In for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt able to share openly about his profound loss.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can at last articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started spending more time together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, adding that he could not remember "any day without joy".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob held dear. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a different tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles judge ruled to bar the publication of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order put a restriction on the files to limit the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a record noting the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Aftermath and Reactions

In the wake of the deaths, public personalities expressed different comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing controversial remarks that were broadly criticized by numerous commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the critics recently. Conversing on his program, Rogan labeled the statements as "disappointing" and suggested they revealed a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an aide ought to have acted when the decision to speak on the death was made.
