'Enduring a Horrific Ordeal': Relatives of Missing Teenagers Await Information After Alpine Fire
The loved ones of teens missing after a devastating blaze at a venue in a Switzerland's ski resort are facing an painful wait for official news and requesting clues about their children publicly.
The inferno engulfed the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of the Valais region, in the small hours of January 1st. Confirmed footage reveal the ceiling igniting as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.
Authorities have stated that it could take an extended period to formally name the victims of the disaster, which killed 40 people and hurt another scores more. Officials said on the latest update that the majority of the those hurt have been accounted for, with the process still underway to identify the other six.
In the waiting period, relatives have been using social media to plead for any news about their loved ones who were at the bar that evening.
Desperate Searches for the Missing
The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are currently unknown, according to an appeal from his parent.

The national sporting body has said that he is dead, without directly referencing the tragedy, paying tribute to a "young athlete who embodied dedication and true sportsmanship."
His parent, is quoted as saying that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around the new year. An representative has clarified that a official announcement of his death is awaited.
Other Cases
Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is also unaccounted for. His parent explained that he had been on holiday but had ventured out with a group and ended up at the venue.
"A companion said they ran away after the fire broke out and that he had his phone with him, but then at a specific moment he couldn't see him anymore," she explained, adding he had been wearing a distinctive piece of jewelry.
One of his teachers said, "I've always been struck by his good nature and smile, combined with great maturity. Often ask if help out."
Alice Kallergis, who holds both Swiss and Greek nationality but lives permanently in Switzerland, was also at the bar on that night, according to sources.
Her sibling has posted an urgent request online, saying the family has had "no news" regarding the teenager or the group she was with, who are also reported missing.
Officials from her other nation say they are continuing to monitor the case.
